🧂 Salt Coffee (Cà Phê Muối): Yes, you’ve heard right, this is a blend of strong black coffee with a salted cream foam, so literally salted coffee. But if you have ever had a chocolate bar with sea salt on top, you can imagine this is freakin delicious, a must-try in Vietnam!
🥚 Egg Coffee (Cà Phê Trứng): Again, it is what it sounds like. Egg coffee was invented in Hanoi due to a milk shortage at that time. Egg yolks are whisked with sugar and condensed milk until they form a light, custard-like foam. Mixed with strong black coffee it’s more of a creamy dessert than a drink. Highly recommend trying it hot, not iced!
☕️ Drip Coffee (Cafe Phin / Den): Cafe Den is a Vietnamese staple black coffee made from Robusta beans. It’s brewed through a Phin filter, which is a little metal container placed on top of the cup.
